Job summary

We are recruiting a process development engineer for the high-power microwave sources (Gyrotron) used for nuclear fusion plasma heating in our technology development division. We believe that early realization of nuclear fusion will contribute to decarbonization. We will build a strong presence in the experimental nuclear fusion reactor market, aiming to establish the nuclear fusion as a dominant industry in Japan. Our business is being rapidly expanded. We have already received orders for large-scale projects from start-ups and government-affiliated research institution aiming to build the experimental nuclear fusion reactors. We are seeking dedicated individuals who will be involved in our future R&D and business operations which are key to growth.

Job description

Development of the gyrotron toward achieving high frequency, high power, and high efficiency Design and development of the plasma heating system using the gyrotron Modification of the system to meet customer’s requests Responsible for a series of tasks from prototype phase to final product phase (Modeling the product design shape, design change proposal, negotiation with various quarters concerned such as suppliers, vendors) The scope of your job responsibilities will be coordinated according to your experience and skill.

Target person (necessary requirement)

・Graduated and completed from a 4-year university or graduate school in mechanical or engineering field Technical school diploma, or high school diploma is acceptable when applicants have enough work experiences in a company. ・Experience in mechanism design using 3D CAD (Negotiable. We are using Inventor®. ) Work experiences, either of the following ・Mechanical design of power supply and high frequency system ・Design of vacuum device ・Design of high/low-temperature device ・Design of industrial devices such as superconducting magnet *Regardless of knowledge of nuclear power and nuclear fusion

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with either of the following knowledges and experiences. ・Experience of calculation (pressure capacity, thermal expansion stress, pressure drop and so on) ・Knowledge and use experience of CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) thermal and structural analysis software such as Ansys
