We are building a new SaaS Management Platform for Japan & the global market. This platform enables users to easily manage the cloud services they use, at any scale.
This is a position in Money Forward i, a start-up subsidiary of Money Forward.
As a Web Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new features as well as scaling our backend API.
Our current tech stack is Nuxt/Vue, NestJS (NodeJS), AWS, MySQL, SQS, DataDog, Rollbar. But we are evolving and very open to ideas!

Responsibility
- Working closely with our product owner and the team to translate requirements into system design, then to code
- Evolving our platform through solid backend architecture and best practices
- Writing clean, maintainable, performance code
- Evaluating trade-offs when designing a feature to ensure delivery but also keeping technical debt under control
- Being innovative, constructive to bring our product to success (we love ideas)
Requirement
- Have a strong background in computer science
- 5+ years of professional experience in web/backend development
- Good grasp on at least one of backend programming languages (familiarity with Typescript is a bonus). Able to apply OOP, common design patterns into constructing good application structure.
- Knowledge in working/tuning relational databases such as MySQL
- Experience working with cloud service providers (especially AWS)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Open to feedback and willing to give feedback
Language Requirement
- English: Fluent, both verbal and written. (CEFR B2 or equivalent)
- Japanese: NOT required
Salary Range
- Min 7,000,000 - Max 11,000,000 Japanese yen / year (Gross)
Location, Remote Work
- Location: Tokyo or Kyoto, Japan
- Remote work is available 4 days per week.

- Flexible Working Hours (No core time)

- Two days off per week (Saturday and Sunday)

- Paid holiday: 10 days (first year) *Number of paid holidays increases (+1 day) every year up to 20 days a year.
