Cross-Border M&A Consultant – India-related deals

About Us

JCAI is expanding its Cross‑Border M&A Advisory team. We are particularly expanding our India-related deals, and are looking for motivated professionals with experience in India coverage to join our Tokyo Investment Banking (M&A / Private Equity) team.

Qualifications

-MBA from a Tier‑1 institute and/ CA / CPA / USCPA / CFA
-3–5 years of relevant work experience focused on India coverage
-Willingness to relocate to Tokyo, Japan (for overseas candidates)

Core Competencies

-Native-level proficiency in Hindi
-Strong foundation in corporate finance
-Experience in preparing financial models, information memorandums, trading and transaction comparables, and financial statement analysis
-Ability to manage due diligence processes and support negotiations
-Excellent presentation and communication skills

Must‑Have Experience

-Minimum 3 years as lead advisor in cross‑border M&A at an advisory firm, financial institution, or equivalent role
-Advanced English proficiency
-Demonstrated project ownership and team skills
-Ability to thrive in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Skills

-Prior exposure to cross‑border transactions
-Japanese language proficiency
-High attention to detail and ability to multitask

Role & Responsibilities

-Act as a key member of the investment banking team, contributing to cross‑border M&A transactions
-Develop international‑standard financial models and conduct business valuations and investment analysis
-Prepare pitches, investment memorandums and research reports
-Participate in the full M&A cycle: pitching, financial modeling, business planning, IM preparation, term sheet drafting and transaction documentation
