Responsibilities
Work as a Compliance Officer at a private real estate fund management company.
・Establish and operate compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and to support early detection of misconduct
・Prepare and submit reports and notifications to relevant authorities and industry associations, and respond to requests, inspections, and inquiries from regulatory bodies
・Develop and operate internal systems for early detection of misconduct, including whistleblowing and other internal reporting frameworks
・Review materials and prepare opinion letters for investment committee meetings
・Manage and operate the Compliance Committee and compliance training programs
・Conduct compliance-related administrative tasks, including advertisement review and management of corporate-related information
・Prepare and manage internal rules, meeting minutes, and other documents under the responsibility of the Compliance Office
・Respond to parent company audits and internal audits
・Support statutory disclosure, timely disclosure, and investor relations activities
・Review contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents, where applicable
Qualifications
・Bachelor’s degree or higher
・Approximately 8–10 or more years of professional experience in legal or compliance functions related to real estate or finance
・Experience in real estate investment as a financial instruments business operator is required
・Real Estate Appraiser, ARES Certified Master, or other relevant qualifications preferred
・Must not be a second-degree relative of a supervisory officer of Japan Metropolitan Fund Investment Corporation (JMF) or Industrial & Infrastructure Fund Investment Corporation (IIF)
Required Skills & Experience
・Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email) required
・Approximately 20 or more years of overall professional experience, including management experience
・Ability to work independently as a near-term responsible person for day-to-day operations within the department
・Business-level English proficiency preferred, but not required
・Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 level or higher
