Context and Expected Responsibility

LIXIL is investing in a diverse portfolio of Box 3 businesses, exploring new customers, new business models, and new categories for LIXIL’s long-term Playbook strategy.
SATO and LIXIL Public Partners are two examples of unique business models within LIXIL that both leverage a global, virtual structure (centrally managed to Corporate Japan.)
SATO, a brand of LIXIL, began as a project of a few Americas-based employees and now ten years later is a global, virtual team of ~120 employees (both LIXIL employees and third-party contract employees/ associates.) LIXIL Public Partners, a new business unit established in FYE23 is now at a stage where support is needed to ensure consistent financial management and to optimize the best operational structures for the proposed business model.
To support these needs across SATO, LPP, Hydrific, and other new innovation areas we are seeking dedicated business partner support in Finance and Operations:
Global Finance & Operations Business Partner will strengthen the overall capacity and
expertise in Finance & Operations for the SATO, LPP, and potentially additional businesses all of which are operating unique, global business models for LIXIL such as Hydrific.
Specifically, this role will be critical to optimizing an operational structure for the new
business units in alignment with the LIXIL local entities and global structure,
enabling consistent and useful management reporting, to support strategic decision
making and alignment with compliance and governance requirements.
Business Partner will report into the Corporate Finance Function with accountability to
SVP; Leader, SATO and LIXIL Public Partners. Role will provide oversight and general
supervision to existing SATO Finance and Operations with the goal of strengthening
capacity and building alignment with the corporate function.

Expected initial key responsibilities include:

● In collaboration with to-be-identified Risk & Controls Business Partner, refine roles and responsibilities of the two functions and identify priorities for business partner support.
● Establish relationships with LIXIL Finance, Legal, and Tax functional teams to support operations in country and communicate implications of structural arrangements.
○ Establish the most appropriate structure and processes for managing the costs and revenue from business units across the virtual organization.
● Serve as the focal point for SATO, LPP, (and potentially other business units in the same reporting structure) on finance and operation questions and procedures. Interpret policies to employees and management, and support compliance.
○ Primary Finance Business Partner for LIXIL Public Partners: In collaboration with SVP; Leader, SATO and LIXIL Public Partners, lead on all business performance monitoring and reporting (FP&A) for LPP. Ensure financial submissions for the LPP business plan, performance, and projections by monitoring and communicating the overall business performance.
○ Provide overall supervision, capacity building, and support to the SATO Finance and Operations team to increase alignment with LIXIL Finance.

● Liaise with cross-company financial resources as needed to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the financial accounts and the financial performance including the best practices for accounting for revenue and SG&A in the local entity vs. the global, cross-charging.
● Provide advisory support and strategic guidance for SVP; Leader, SATO and LIXIL Public Partners to identify efficiencies and optimize ways of working across business units.

Requirements

【MUST】
● 5+ years experience in FP&A.
● Advanced Business English level (oral and written) and Business level Japanese.
● Advanced presentation skills and business acumen as necessary.
● Accustomed to multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting multiple tight deadlines in a
    fast-growing environment with frequently changing priorities.
● Strong analytical skills, with a sharp focus on attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

【WANT】
○ Knowledge of US GAAP/SOX will be a big plus.
○ CPA or MBA a plus
