About the Job
- Design, develop, and operate the software and systems infrastructure to renew the platform that supports Macromill's operations
- Support onboarding of new and existing products to the new platform.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable software with robust test coverage, and consistently enhance the source code for scalability and performance.
- Collaborate effectively within an agile development team.
- Build trust with stakeholders and ensure accountability in Engineering.
- Continuously improve system availability and reliability through monitoring, refactoring, and tuning to deliver a high-quality customer experience for all users.
- Build and enhance infrastructure and CI/CD environments to improve engineering productivity.

Application Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Alignment with Macromill’s vision and culture.
- Development experience with one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
- Know-how or experience of Infrastructure as Code(IaC) and practical experience on any of the above cloud platforms
- Know-how or experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Basic knowledge of networking (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS)
- Understanding, building, and operating experience with CI/CD and GitOps
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Basic knowledge and operational experience with databases
- Experience in development within a team
- Interest in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps culture
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sharing technical knowledge externally
- Experience with agile development
- Experience with offshore development
- Understanding of microservices and platform engineering
- Proficiency in both English and Japanese (reading and writing)
- Practical experience with SRE/DevOps
- Experience in system operations based on SLOs
- Experience in designing and developing high-traffic (large-scale) workloads
