Purpose Statement
・We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual who is highly analytical, strategic, and collaborative, has a passion for innovative thinking and digital tools and can work closely with stakeholders across the business to move related projects forward. This role reports into the Head of the Global Sales Planning Dept. This role is pivotal in driving our global sales efforts across different geographies and market segments and requires a strategic thinker capable of supporting our global sales teams and helping manage our business platforms, including Salesforce, Account Engagement, Seismic, and others. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both English and Japanese, exceptional stakeholder management abilities, a deep understanding of the asset management industry, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in sales analytics tools, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Initiative Development
・Develop and execute strategic initiatives that support the objectives of our sales and sales support teams.
・Identify areas for improvement and propose actionable plans to optimize sales processes and support functions.
・Work closely with cross-functional teams to align strategic initiatives with broader business goals.
Reporting and Analysis
・Develop and Implement KPIs: Establish and maintain key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of growth/sales strategies.
・Monitor Performance: Regularly track and analyze performance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
・Reporting
o Prepare detailed reports on KPI performance and budget status for senior management and stakeholders.
o Design and generate insightful reports for management, providing clear and actionable data to inform decision-making.
o Develop customized dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators and metrics.
・Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of market trends, opportunities, customer needs, the competitive landscape, and areas for improvement to identify opportunities for strategic initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
・Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales teams, sales support teams, IT, and senior management.
・Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives.
・Facilitate effective communication and feedback loops to drive continuous improvement and address any concerns or challenges.
Compliance
・Ensure all global sales activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
・Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry practices, and implement necessary adjustments to sales strategies and processes.
・Identify potential compliance risks related to global sales activities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Knowledge and Skills
・ Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Japanese.
・Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
・Ability to manage multiple priorities, strong project management skills.
・Ability to build consensus across cross-functional teams.
・Familiarity with data analysis and report creation.
Experience and Qualification
・Over 2–3 years working experience in a similar role, or a related role within the asset management industry or financial services industry.
・Native in either English or Japanese, advanced business level in the other.
・Experience with creating reports that are widely used across the business.
・Experience with digital sales & reporting tools, preferably the Salesforce suite of products.
・Proficient in MS Office suite, specifically Excel Macro/VBA, Word, and PowerPoint.
・Investment related qualifications, digital related qualifications / experience are an advantage.
