Yamaha Corporation, located in Hamamatsu, Japan, offers challenging engineering internships and we are looking for versatile and talented interns to join the Development Groups. These are paid internships and will provide real-life experience at one of the largest and most dynamic musical instruments and professional audio product manufacturers in the world!

Internships are located in Hamamatsu, Japan and the length will be approximately 12 weeks. If applicable, applicants must be eligible to travel abroad under any epidemic border measures. Internships are subject to cancellation due to any business or safety concerns.

Project Description

Define requirements for Apps/Cloud Services, managing commercial audio systems
Validate requirements by UI prototyping
Decompose requirements into new development elements as Apps/Cloud Services
Document possible requirements

Required Items:

• Major/Minor/Master
  Engineering in either Information, Requirements, or Software
  Minimum GPA of 3.25
• Knowledge
  UX/UI Design
  Product Management
  Deep knowledge in professional/commercial audio devices/area
• Skills
  User-Centered Design (UCD)
  Prototyping using Adobe and/or Figma
  Technical writing for English documentation
  Cloud system development using AWS
  App development using OOPL
• Experiences
  System development with: AWS as back-end, PC/smartphone as front-end
  Participated in a shared software development project as a Product Manager or UX Designer
  Involved in design/installation of mixing, commercial audio, or public address (PA) systems
• Others
  Logical communication skills (presentation, discussion, writing) in English (CEFR B2 level)
  Daily communication (conversation) in Japanese 
  Interest in Japanese linguistic and business culture, and also in business culture in India
  Passport
