Overview

We are looking for a skilled Overseas Sales Representative to lead our merchandise licensing initiatives in Traditional-Chinese Markets. This role is pivotal in expanding our brand’s presence and ensuring the successful licensing of our IP across diverse categories. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Traditional-Chinese Markets, be proficient in handling negotiations, and capable of crafting strategies that align with regional trends and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively seek out and engage with potential licensees to drive new licensing opportunities, demonstrating a strong motivation to expand the company’s IP portfolio reach and secure new revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with licensees, distributors, and retail partners in the designated markets.
  • Negotiate and finalize licensing agreements, ensuring they meet the company's strategic and financial objectives.
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure all contracts comply with local laws and company policies.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate seamless collaboration and drive successful licensing agreements.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple IP licensing projects simultaneously.
  • Provide regular performance reports to senior management, including market insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Assist the manager in developing and implementing effective licensing strategies to achieve the company's merchandising and IP licensing objectives.

Required Skills

  • Native-level proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, fluency in Japanese.
  • Proven experience in sales and business development, specifically in licensing within the consumer goods industry.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics and legal landscapes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently.

Desirable Skills

  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience working with advertising agencies and/or hands-on licensing experience in the gaming or gaming-adjacent industries
  • Previous experience working in international environments, particularly in Asia.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Experience with cross-cultural teams and operations.
