■Summary
As a Merchandise Planning Director at the VTuber agency hololive production, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and delivering tangible items that embody the appeal of our VTubers. This role is key to creating non-streaming touchpoints with fans, thereby contributing to the further growth and expansion of our talents' popularity!
■Work Details
・New merchandise planning and production for our VTuber talents.
・Collaborative merchandise creation with our VTuber talents (bringing to life the talents' desires to create specific goods).
・As our agency includes English-speaking talents, this role also requires the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Production of Talent Merchandise, including items for commemorative occasions such as talent birthdays.
You will work in close communication with the talents, consulting with them to determine the best merchandise to realize their ideas and goals.
A key appeal of this role is the opportunity to handle a wide range of products, including non-standard and custom goods.
■Specifically, this includes:
Planning and proposing character merchandise aimed at core fans.
End-to-end project management from talent interviews/briefing, planning proposal, production, and sales through to delivery.
Negotiation and coordination with merchandise manufacturers.

Required Skills
・At least three years of experience at a Japanese company.
・Excellent communication and active listening skills.
・Japanese language proficiency sufficient for effective business communication.
・Knowledge and understanding of character and VTuber culture or business.
Desirable Skills
・Experience in the entertainment industry.
・Practical experience in character merchandise development or product planning.
Organizational Structure
Product Planning Department consists of two main planning teams: the "Influencer Division" and the "Intellectual Property Strategy Division."
The Influencer Division, which is the team currently hiring, is responsible for talent merchandise production. Within this department, roles are divided into two functions:
・”Front”Team: This team serves as the planning coordinator, liaising directly with the talents themselves, talent managers, and various internal departments.
・”Middle” Team: This team coordinates with external manufacturers to manage the actual production and logistics of the merchandise.
The division is a small organization of approximately 10 people.
We are currently hiring for a Front Team position that communicates directly with English-speaking talents.
