Empower Global Leaders: Shape the future of ambitious professionals by fostering a vibrant learning community and advising them on their life-changing journey through Japan’s No.1 MBA.

業務内容/Job Details

関わるサービス/Services Offered by this department

Since its foundation in 1992, GLOBIS has fostered an ecosystem of people, capital, and knowledge. Today, we are involved in a range of businesses, including higher education, corporate training, online micro-learning platforms, and our own venture capital arm.
GLOBIS also operates the G1 Institute and the KIBOW Foundation, two non-profit organizations dedicated to promoting creativity and innovation in society. The GLOBIS MBA, GLOBIS Unlimited, and GLOBIS nano-MBA programs are offered both online and in person across Japan, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, the USA, and Europe. GLOBIS University is the proud home of Japan's No. 1 MBA and is rapidly growing to become the world’s No. 1 MBA.

To achieve our goal of becoming the world’s No. 1 business school, we are seeking an ambitious and driven sales professional to support our business development and student support activities in order to help us expand the market for our global MBA programs in Japan, overseas and beyond.

We currently offer three English programs at GLOBIS University:

  1. One-year Full-time MBA Program
  2. Two-year Part-time and Online MBA Program
  3. Three-month Pre-MBA Program
  4. Six-week nano-MBA Program

業務内容/Job Responsibilities

This role is critical to achieving GLOBIS's goal of becoming the world's No. 1 business school. You will be instrumental in the development and nurturing of the student community within our English MBA programs (approximately 70% of time commitment). The remaining 30% is dedicated to admissions advising and sales management focused on student retention, continued enrollment, and conversion from the nano-MBA program to the Pre-MBA program, or the Pre-MBA program to the full MBA.

You will act as the primary catalyst for student growth, managing the entire lifecycle from initial enrollment support through to successful MBA application, ensuring a valuable, life-changing experience for every student.

Community Manager
1. Discovery & Initiation

  • Identify community “seeds,” such as groups of students with shared pain points, work industries, or similar interests, to foster close-knit communities where members can share their passion and excitement to learn at GLOBIS, both in Japan and overseas.
  • Recruit and onboard founding members and initial community leaders who can extend the community vision to community stakeholders.
  • Create a structure to develop functioning communities by defining the community’s initial purpose, launching initiatives, and creating guidelines to support successful community involvement and members’ contributions.

2. Nurture & Empowerment

  • Support early-stage community activities and help navigate planning, implementation, and operations, including addressing issues that may arise.
  • Develop and implement a Leader Program structure to empower key members to take ownership of moderation, content, and events, fostering a self-driven community for long-term sustainability.

3. Management & Support

  • Act as the primary liaison between the communities and internal teams (sales and marketing, alumni/mentors, and lecturers) to create beneficial relationships among all stakeholders - for example, having lecturers speak at communities or connecting testimonials to the marketing team.
  • Manage the community tech stack for optimal performance and user experience.
  • Work closely with other teams at GLOBIS University, such as the Alumni Team, to maximize all GLOBIS community synergies that provide a life-long learning platform and Kokorozashi development opportunities to students and graduates.

4. Measurement & Improvement

  • Define and track KPIs for community health, growth, and business impact (e.g., engagement, sentiment, product adoption metrics), which support nano-MBA upselling to Pre-MBA, Pre-MBA retention, and MBA application growth.
  • Establish reporting frameworks to track performance against goals.
  • Conduct regular analysis and surveys to understand member needs and satisfaction, and implement a PDCA cycle using both quantitative and qualitative data to continuously iterate and refine strategies (Kaizen).

Student Support, educational consultant, and sales

  • Proactive Engagement: Grasp each student's situation in detail through direct communication (cold calling, online meetings) and indirect channels (faculty, mentors) to provide optimal advice at the right time and proactively resolve concerns.
  • 1-on-1 Student Success: Provide personalized support for students’ onboarding and study planning so that they can maintain a smooth study experience leading into the critical MBA application preparation phase.
  • Work with the Customer Success team to boost retention and course upselling through strategic planning and execution - maximizing the nano-MBA or Pre-MBA student learning experience to foster continued enrollment and successful conversion to the full MBA program through various activities.
  • Data-Driven PDCA: Utilize CRM tools to track student trends and accumulated data. Predict sales figures (continued enrollment and applicant numbers), and formulate, execute, and run PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycles to achieve aggressive growth targets for the English MBA programs.

We generally recommend coming to the office three days or more a week, but policies may vary based on the characteristics of each department and team. Please note that the above is subject to change based on the societal landscape.

The initiative involves discussions in an environment removed from daily business operations, focusing on:

- Understanding the GLOBIS Way
