私たちは、横浜国立大学発の量子技術スタートアップです。
目指しているのは、長距離の量子通信を可能にする「量子中継器」を開発し、将来的な「量子インターネット」を実現すること。量子技術によって、これまでにない安全性を持つ通信や、複数の量子コンピューターをつないだ分散量子計算など、新しい社会インフラをつくろうとしています。
技術のベースにあるのは、20年以上にわたって積み重ねてきた大学での研究です。現在は研究室を飛び出し、ソフトバンク、東芝、三菱電機をはじめとする企業や、国のプロジェクトとも連携しながら社会実装を進めています。
さらにデンマークに現地法人を設立するなど、海外展開も本格化しています。

About Us
We are a quantum technology startup originating from Yokohama National University in Japan.
Our mission is to develop quantum repeaters that enable long-distance quantum communication and ultimately make the quantum internet a reality.
Through quantum technology, we aim to build a new generation of infrastructure that enables unprecedented levels of communication security and distributed quantum computing by connecting multiple quantum computers.
Our technology is built on more than 20 years of academic research. Today, we are taking that research beyond the laboratory and into the real world, working alongside leading companies such as SoftBank, Toshiba, and Mitsubishi Electric, as well as participating in national research and development projects.
We are also accelerating our global expansion, including the establishment of a subsidiary in Denmark.

About This Position
LQUOM is seeking an Optical & Laser Engineer to develop quantum light sources and optical systems for next-generation quantum communication.
You will help transform laboratory technologies into reliable products through optical system development, performance improvement, and real-world demonstrations.
No prior experience in quantum technology is required. We welcome engineers with laser or optical R&D experience, including early-career professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Design, assemble, align, and evaluate laser-based optical systems and quantum light sources
Improve system stability, performance, and reproducibility
Miniaturize and modularize optical systems for product development
Prepare technical specifications and design documentation
Participate in domestic and international demonstrations and joint development projects
Collaborate with researchers and engineers to solve technical challenges
Required Qualifications
Professional experience in at least one of the following:
Laser or light source R&D, design, or evaluation
Optical system assembly, alignment, or testing
Optical stabilization and performance improvement
Spectroscopy or optical measurement
Development of laser-based scientific or measurement equipment
Quantum technology experience is not required.
Preferred Qualifications
Quantum optics or quantum communication
Laser stabilization, phase synchronization, or optical control
Optical system modularization or product development
FPGA, embedded systems, or electronic circuits
Python-based measurement or control
International technical collaboration
