The Operations IT Business Analyst serves as the bridge between Operations IT and business stakeholders across warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain planning, RA/QA, and corporate services areas. This role combines business analysis, project delivery and application support. You will work with business users to collect and prioritize requirements, propose improvement ideas and collaborate with IT teams to ensure solutions delivery align with business goals, and lead the planning of projects and enhancement requests. The role also provides application support to ensure stability and reliability of local Operations applications.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, acting as the IT partner for business needs.
• Collect and document requirements for operational systems and processes.
• Assist in prioritization and preparation of initiatives in alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed solutions.
• Translate business needs into user stories and functional specifications.
• Support solution design, testing, and rollout in collaboration with other teams or vendors.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize business outcomes
• Define the roadmap for the application portfolio to ensure alignment with APAC IT strategy - Vendor Management
• Manage vendor relationships, including communication, issue escalation, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure Operations applications and solutions meet business requirements.
• Support the implementation and rollout of new business functions in collaboration with vendors.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing as needed.
• Ensure vendors adhere to company standards, compliance requirements, and quality expectations. - Application Support
• Provide support for key Operations applications to ensure business continuity.
• Coordinate with external vendors to address system issues, and ensure service continuity.
• Support integration with devices like hand terminals and printers as required.
• Ensure incidents, problems, and change requests are tracked and resolved in line with ITIL standards. - Collaboration & Communication
• Build trust-based relationships with business and IT stakeholders across countries and functions, supporting Medline’s regional IT operating model.
• Work with cross-functional IT teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Medline IT standards, ITIL practices, and quality requirements.
• Demonstrate proactive and open-minded thinking; propose improvement ideas and adapt to changing business needs.
• Balance daily application support with project and enhancement request work, ensuring business continuity while contributing to long-term improvements.
- Follow established procedures for the environment. Report any concerns, incidents or issues related to the environment promptly.

2. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Effectively communicates technical concepts (e.g. architecture, infrastructure).
• Knowledge of current application trends and available solutions in the market.
• Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on new technologies. - Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Analysis, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in application implementation across SCM, warehouse, production, logistics, and planning.
• Certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management. ITIL, Agile, and Cloud technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication in both Japanese and English , and stakeholder management skills.
