Why Penta Ocean Construction?

Penta-Ocean Construction was founded in 1896 as Mizuno-gumi in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and we recently celebrated the 130th anniversary of the company’s founding. Over a number of decades, our initial marine civil engineering business expanded to land civil engineering and building construction. Our overseas ventures started with the Suez Canal Dredging Project in 1961, and we have been involved in many milestone projects, mostly based in Singapore, since our first entry into the market in 1964.
A substantial increase in business volume in domestic civil engineering and building construction segments propelled our consolidated net sales beyond the ¥700 billion threshold for the first time in FY 3/25. Our aspiration is to grow and evolve into a company where all three business units contribute to profitability in a well-balanced manner.

Global Career - Track Positions

The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in their specific engineering discipline. Following a comprehensive project-site induction, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering works within your remit, ensuring they align strictly with contractual obligations, project schedules, and budgetary constraints. As a pivotal leader on-site, you will supervise subordinate teams and foster collaborative, effective relationships with sub-contractors. A steadfast commitment to project specifications and the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is mandatory.

Job Resposibilities:

・Work closely with clients, consultants and sub-contractors
・Engage in site works, inspections and planning while monitoring construction progress
・Clarify technical issues for smooth project progress
・Seek continuous improvement of related systems and processes

・Building: Construction management, cost estimation, technology development, and design/supervision (Architectural and Structural Design)
・Civil: construction management, infrastructure design, quantity surveying (cost estimation), and technology development
・Mechanical Engineering: Planning, design, construction, development, and sales/construction support for electrical, mechanical, and marine engineering technologies
・Administrator: Corporate planning, finance, accounting, general affairs, sales, legal, human resources, public relations, and site administration

Requirements:

・Fresh Graduates from universities
・Good communication skills both verbal and written
・IT literacy in standard software applications
・Good teamplayer and able to work well with all levels of people
・Japanese language is required for application of Administrator
・Have strong interests and passion to work in a construction company
・Comfortable with overseas deployment

Qualifications:

・Requires Bachelor’s degree or higher combination of education, training andexperience
・*Administrator position only - Japanese is required (writing, reading, listening and speaking)
