プラチナゲームズは、主にソニーやマイクロソフト、任天堂の各社が発売する家庭用ハイエンドゲーム機向けのゲームソフトを開発しているゲーム会社で、特にアクションゲームの開発を得意としています。近年は、Apple Arcadeへの参画など、家庭用ゲーム機向けにとどまらず、幅広くデジタルエンターテインメントコンテンツを開発しています。 また、テンセントグループとの資本提携による資本力強化を背景に、自社IP(知的財産)の開発や自社パブリッシング事業の展開など、デベロッパーの枠を超えた新たな挑戦を行っています。
We are a world-renowned game developer, known especially for our high-quality action titles on next-gen platforms from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. In recent years, we have actively been expanding our portfolio by developing a wider range of digital entertainment content for new and upcoming services, including titles for Apple Arcade. Our partnership with Tencent Holdings Ltd. has reinforced our presence in gaming and has allowed us to take on new challenges beyond the boundaries of a regular developer. “with コロナ”時代の新しい働き方/Working in a new age
プラチナゲームズでは、社員と社員の家族の健康を守るため、新型コロナウィルス感染リスクを避ける目的で、出社勤務と在宅勤務を組み合わせた【ハイブリッドワーク】を採用することにいたしました。社員は、会社と自宅の両方に会社支給の機材(PC、モニター、etc.)を設置することで、場所を問わず開発業務に従事することが可能となります。基本的には、1週間のうち、所属するプロジェクトによって決められた曜日に出社勤務を行い(概ね週2日程度)、残りは在宅でWEB(SlackやZoom)によるコミュニケーションを図りつつ業務を進めていく形となります。
Our world and our values have drastically changed with the COVID-19 pandemic. PlatinumGames is dedicated to protecting the health of our employees and their families. We have adopted a "hybrid work" system that combines both working from home and working from the office, with the objective of reducing the risk of COVID-19 infection and ensuring that our employees are able to work freely and engage in development regardless of their location. We supply all necessary equipment (PCs, monitors, etc.) both for office and for home. Employees come to the office on the days of the week determined by their project (approximately 2 days per week), and the rest of the time they will work from home (communicating online through Slack, Zoom, etc.).

日本語が母国語でない方へ/For non-native Japanese speakers
日本語が母国語でない方は、応募フォームにてご自身の現状の日本語レベルについてご記載ください。以下の表よりご自身のレベルをご確認ください。
We accept applications from individuals of all nationalities. If Japanese is not your native language, please indicate your current Japanese language proficiency level on the application form. Use the below table as a guideline for indicating your level of Japanese proficiency.
1. Beginner
日本語に触ふれることが全く初めての初心者。挨拶ができたり、平仮名・カタカナ、簡単な単語を読むことはできる。会話はできない。
A beginner who is completely new to the Japanese language. Can greet people and read hiragana, katakana, and simple words. However, they are not able to converse in Japanese.
2. Elementary
挨拶、自己紹介など「お決きまりのパターン」には対応できる。予想外の質問への対応は難しい。単語レベルでの受け答えは少しできるが通じないことも多い。聞き取りは、相手が言わんとすることに察しがつく程度。
Can respond to "set patterns" such as greetings, self-introductions, etc. Has difficulty answering unexpected questions. Able to respond to a few questions at a single-word level, but often not able to communicate with others fluently. Can understand the gist of what the other person is trying to say.
3. Elementary+
センテンスとしては不完全だが、単語を並べての発話ができる。「はい/いいえ」での対応は何とかできるが、なに?なぜ?どのように?などといった質問への対応は苦しい。
Can produce speech with words in a sequence, albeit incomplete as sentences. Can somewhat manage to respond with “Yes/No”, but has difficulty responding to “What? Why? How?”
4. Low-Intermediate
簡単な日常会話では、拙いながらも言いたいことは何とか伝えることができる。片言ながらセンテンスで話すことができるが、語順や発音が不正確で、聞き手が理解するために努力を強いられるレベル。リスニングでは、意味を憶測しながら何となく理解できることが多い。
Can manage to convey what she/he wants to say in simple daily conversation, although at a low level. Able to speak in sentences, but word order and pronunciation are imprecise, forcing the listener to make an effort to understand what is trying to be conveyed. In terms of listening, is often able to guess at the meaning of what is being said and understand it somewhat vaguely.
5. Intermediate
会話に必要最低限の文法知識があり、意思疎通には大きな難は無いレベル。会話であいづちを使うなど、自然な会話が成立し、コミュニケーションを楽しむこともできる。
Has minimum grammatical knowledge necessary for conversation and has no major difficulty in conveying the message. Able to use nodding and such gestures in conversation and partake in natural conversation and communication.
6. High-Intermediate
スピードはゆっくりながら、かなり適切な会話力・表現力が身についている。言いたいことを文章に組み立てて話すことができ、慣用句も適切に使い始め、会話に自然な柔らかさがある。
Although conversation speed is comparatively slow, has acquired quite appropriate conversational and expressive skills. Is able to formulate what she/he wants to say into sentences, has begun to use idiomatic phrases appropriately, and demonstrates a natural softness in the conversation.
7. Low-Advanced
日常生活や基本的な業務の中で、自分の言いたいことを過不足なく表現できる。相手の言っていることも正確に理解できる。意思疎通および情報交換には問題ないバイリンガル。初歩的な通訳もできる。
Can express what she/he wants to say in daily life and in basic tasks without over or under expressing themselves. Can accurately understand what others are saying. Is able to communicate and exchange information in a bilingual environment. Also able to provide rudimentary interpretation.
8. Advanced
言語の5技能(聞く、読む、書く、話す(やり取り)、話す(発表))がバランスよく習得されている。迅速かつ正確な情報発信、商談、交渉など深いレベルでのコミュニケーションが図れる。ビジネスレベル。
Has a well-balanced mastery of the five language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking (exchange), and speaking (presentation)). Able to communicate at a deep level, including prompt and accurate information dissemination, business talks, and negotiations. Is able to use Japanese in a business setting.
9. High-Advanced
母国語と同等レベルに日本語を使える。日本語での論理構成力やノンバーバルスキル、自己表現力など、コミュニケーション全般において高い能力がある。プレゼン、ディベートや問題解決、意思決定なども日本語で円滑に遂行できる。教養あるネイティブと対等に高度な内容の仕事が遂行できる。
Able to use Japanese at the same level as one's native language. Highly competent in all aspects of communication, including logical organization, non-verbal skills, and self-expression in Japanese. Able to smoothly conduct presentations, debates, problem-solving, and decision-making in Japanese. Able to perform high-level work on an equal basis with educated native speakers.
Please Note: Mid-Career positions are open to experienced applicants only. We welcome upcoming graduates and other inexperienced applicants to apply through our Japanese language New Graduate Recruitment page. Japanese ability is required for inexperienced applicants. Unfortunately we do not offer long-term internship positions.
Please Note: While PlatinumGames boasts a staff of talented individuals from all over the world, and welcomes applicants of any nationality, all communication in our office is primarily conducted in Japanese. It is strongly preferred that applicants have some degree of Japanese language ability. However, we will consider hiring highly experienced and skilled applicants who can communicate in English.
