Position Overview

Renova is seeking a highly motivated Business Development professional to join its Philippines Office. You will play a key role in the sourcing, origination, and development of renewable energy projects across the country. This position is ideal for individuals with over 5 years of experience in the power and energy industry, who are passionate about sustainability and eager to contribute to impactful, long-term energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Origination : Identify and evaluate new business opportunities
  and projects within the Philippines.
• Analysis : Conduct comprehensive market research,
  policy/regulatory analysis and project feasibility studies.
• Project Support : Lead or support project structuring, feasibility
  assessment, planning, permitting, financial modelling, and
  documentation processes.
• Stakeholder Management : Develop and maintain relationships
  with government agencies, landowners, local communities, and
  potential partners.
• Coordination and Negotiation : Coordinate and/or negotiate
  with contractors, landowners, partners, and advisors.
• Reporting : Prepare high-quality proposals, presentations, and
  internal reports for management.
• Administration : Manage project-related documentation,
  meeting coordination, and project monitoring.

Capability/ Experience Required (Must)

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development within the energy sector (experience in Renewable Energy is preferred).
• Graduate of electrical, mechanical, or related engineering degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tagalog.
• Proactive, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Capability/ Experience Required (Plus)

Preferred Expertise: Familiarity with one or more of the following:
-Energy yield assessment for both solar and wind projects
-BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) integration
-Grid connection matters
-Land acquisition and conversion
-(Financial modeling)
