Q1: What kind of work have you been involved in up to now?

When I first joined, the construction of large-scale, special high-voltage solar power plants under the FIT (Feed-In Tariff) system was ongoing. I was engaged in construction supervision and operations and maintenance tasks for already-operational power plants, such as conducting regular inspections and addressing daily troubleshooting issues.                         Subsequently, I became involved in the operations of a new business: the development of numerous small-scale Non-FIT low-voltage and high-voltage solar power projects. This included verifying completed power plants, confirming the execution of tasks by contractors, and coordinating operations.

Unlike the large-scale, special high-voltage projects that dealt with fewer cases, this new role required managing multiple projects. This gave me the opportunity to be involved in creating frameworks and systems for operations, broadening the scope of my responsibilities.
In parallel, I have continued to be responsible for tasks related to special high-voltage solar power plants, such as analyzing operational performance data, creating budgets for expected power generation, managing performance against budgets, and working on initiatives to maximize asset value. These initiatives include improving power generation, reducing downtime, and considering repowering options.

Q2: Why did you choose Renova?

In my previous job, I worked on the construction side (EPC) of solar power plants.           At first, I was simply involved in the construction of projects as they were assigned.        However, after working on several solar power plants, I began to strongly realize the importance of renewable energy for the future of society. This led to the belief that the industry should not end as a temporary trend driven by the FIT system.

Driven by this conviction, I was drawn to RENOVA's approach of not treating renewable energy as a mere short-term investment opportunity but rather as a solution to social issues. Their commitment to developing renewable energy projects and managing operations post-construction resonated with me, as I wanted to oversee the future of solar power plants.

At RENOVA, I have been able to fulfill my aspiration of becoming an owner of solar power plants, managing their value and subsequent operations with a strong sense of responsibility.

Q3: What are the characteristics of RENOVA? (Good points, things you are proud of, things you are satisfied with, etc.)

I believe one of RENOVA's key features is its “flexibility.”

The organization is restructured optimally based on the situation at hand, allowing methods to be proposed and executed without being bound by past precedents or unnecessary constraints. The integration of development and operations allows us to utilize engineering insights and collaborate flexibly with other departments, advancing our tasks through information exchange and cooperation.

Additionally, flexibility is highly emphasized in workplace practices to maximize work performance. While managing operational solar power plants, there are sudden instances of unexpected outages requiring immediate responses. In such scenarios, the first person to notice takes swift action, and all team members approach their tasks with a strong sense of ownership, working together to address issues flexibly.

Furthermore, there is a workplace culture that values personal time, such as attending to children's pick-ups and participating in school events. This has created an environment where employees can work comfortably and productively.
