Q1: What kind of work have you been involved in up to now?

Since joining RENOVA, I have primarily been responsible for accounting and tax operations for both operating and under-construction SPCs (Special Purpose Companies). My scope of work has expanded to include financial closing and tax filings for each entity, IFRS adjustments for group consolidation, consolidation entries, accounting issue analysis, and budget-to-actual variance analysis.

I also handle new accounting and tax issues related to projects under development, such as the application of new accounting standards and structuring schemes during project formation.

RENOVA’s accounting department manages over 30 entities with a small team, and each member is responsible for a wide range of tasks across accounting, tax, and issue analysis. This structure allows for a hands-on experience and a strong sense of involvement with the business, which makes the work highly rewarding.

As a company in the renewable energy sector, RENOVA is particularly known for taking on new challenges. This often leads to accounting and tax issues with no precedent, requiring us to go beyond simply referencing existing cases. We are encouraged to think independently, apply our experience and knowledge, and collaborate with stakeholders to create solutions from scratch.

Q2: Why did you choose Renova?

During my job search, I prioritized “closeness to the business” and “level of autonomy.” In accounting, it’s possible to complete tasks without truly engaging with the business, but that approach lacks excitement and a sense of contribution.

In interviews, I was told that RENOVA offers frequent opportunities to work directly with business teams and that each individual is entrusted with a broad scope of responsibilities, allowing for proactive engagement.

This has proven true in practice—I communicate daily with project and business management teams. While each person has significant autonomy, there is a strong culture of collaboration and mutual support, which aligns perfectly with what I was looking for.

Q3: What are the characteristics of RENOVA? (Good points, things you are proud of, things you are satisfied with, etc.)

RENOVA’s accounting department is organized into four teams: Corporate Accounting, Overseas Projects, Tax, and SPCs. While each member has a primary area of responsibility, the nature of the work often overlaps, allowing for flexible collaboration rather than rigid silos.

The department is structured so that team leaders and the department head actively support team members, creating an open and approachable environment where it’s easy to seek advice.

RENOVA is a great fit for individuals who are not satisfied with routine tasks, enjoy taking on new challenges, and want to grow quickly through diverse experiences.
