Overview
This position is for a functional IT expert who possesses deep IT technical capabilities to lead IT solutions within the finance and accounting (FI/CO) domain under a unified global system environment ("One Single Instance"). As part of the Global IT organization, you will serve as a hub receiving request, tax regulatory changes, and regional requirements from Regional IT teams. Maintaining a focus on global standards and global templates, you will hands-on lead upper-process tasks including requirements definition and solution design. Utilizing cutting-edge IT platforms such as S/4HANA and IBP, you will drive enterprise-wide digital transformation and the optimization of global financial operations.
Role and Responsibility
- Standardization and Management of Global Finance Processes: Drive and lead SAP-enabled Finance Transformation from HQ across all regions. Define and govern global finance processes and global templates.
- Requirements Definition and Solution Design: Collaborate with Regional IT organizations to gather user needs and region-specific requirements (e.g., tax law updates), hands-on performing requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design.
- Implementation and Support for SAP FI-CO Solutions: Hands-on design, configure, and support SAP FI-CO solutions (S/4HANA environment), ensuring integration with adjacent planning and consolidation solutions such as BPC and PaPM.
- Project Management and SI Partner Collaboration: Manage and collaborate with SI partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, leading cross-regional rollout initiatives.
- Guidance and Knowledge Transfer to Regional IT: Provide guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to regional finance and IT stakeholders.
Basic Requirement
- Experience: Around 10 years of overall IT experience in the finance and accounting domain, with strong hands-on expertise in SAP FI-CO.
- Global Project Experience: Proven experience leading or delivering SAP implementations using global standards/templates in a "One Single Instance" environment within a global company or IT consulting firm.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA (latest versions) and core finance processes (General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, etc.).
- Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English at a business level for global communication and cross-regional collaboration
Preferred Requirement
- Experience integrating SAP FI-CO with adjacent finance solutions such as SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) or SAP PaPM (Profitability and Performance Management).
- Work experience within the manufacturing or retail industries.
- Strong logical thinking, presentation capabilities, and a proactive attitude toward addressing regional challenges and guiding stakeholders to solutions.
