Overview

The People Technology team leads the planning and operation of HR systems across the worldwide Shiseido Group. In this role, you will serve as the SuccessFactors System Owner, ensuring stable day-to-day operations while actively leading and contributing to global, project-based initiatives aligned with the People Strategy. Working closely with HR and cross-functional stakeholders across regions, as well as AMS and external vendors, you will drive system enhancements and support large-scale global HR transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage service requests, incidents, and change requests using tools such as ServiceNow, while leading minor enhancement and improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across SuccessFactors modules, providing user support and ensuring stable system performance with minimal business disruption.
  • Translate business requirements into effective system configurations and scalable solutions in collaboration with HR and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with AMS and external vendors to maintain system stability, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Support and enhance annual HR processes, including Goal Setting and Performance Management.
  • Drive standardization, optimization, and digitalization of HR processes across global operations.
  • Identify system and process improvement opportunities, proactively assess risks, and implement mitigation actions.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, procedures, and configuration records.
  • Deliver training and guidance to end users on new functionalities and system updates.
  • Stay up to date with HR technology trends and recommend best practices to enhance system capabilities.

Basic Requirement

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and operating global HR systems (SuccessFactors or other HCM platforms such as workday or peoplesoft).
  • Experience managing service requests and incidents using ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes, including core HR, payroll operations, and performance management.
  • Experience in HR data analysis and reporting with the ability to generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
  • Ability to work hands-on, collaborate effectively, and take full accountability for deliverables.

Preferred Requirement

  • Knowledge of global HR compliance and Japanese labor laws.
  • Experience in global projects and change management initiatives.
  • Vendor management experience and ability to work with external stakeholders.
  • Background in HRIS product vendors, HRIS consulting firms, or system integrators.
