業務内容

ソニー・ホンダモビリティのEVにおいて、主にオーナー様向けモバイルアプリケーションの開発を担当して頂きます。
　業務内容としては、クルマの制御・モニタリングを中心としたモバイルアプリに必要となる各種サービス・機能開発において、iOSエンジニアとしてSwiftベースのUI開発、および両OS共通層となるKMP層とのバインディング部分の開発を担って頂きます。また、APIスキーマ定義についてもアプリエンジニア主体で進めており、こちらも担当頂きます。
　開発チームとしてはAndroid/iOS混在したワンチームという体制をとっており、可能な限り両OSを同時開発で進めております。Scrumをベースにしたアジャイル開発をベースにしておりますが、必ずしもScrumありきという訳では無く、開発ライフサイクルの局面に応じて目指すべき成果物を勝ち取るために柔軟にフォーメーションを変えていくという方針で進めております。

　我々ソニー・ホンダモビリティはネットワークサービス開発領域、並びにデジタルタッチポイント開発を重要な開発領域と定めており、AFEELAのモバイルアプリケーションサービスを"クルマの付属品"という位置づけではなく、"お客様が乗車していない状況でもAFEELAと寄り添っていけるAFEELAの分身"と位置づけ、この実現に向けて開発推進を行っています。このような新しい世界観・提供価値を実現する上では、技術的な知見のみならず、顧客提供価値を中心に据えてプロアクティブに動くことのできる社員エンジニアの増強が必要と考えております。その中でも現状はiOSを担当する社員エンジニアが不足しているため、このポジションの充足が最重要であると考えております。

課：20人程度
モバイルアプリ開発チームとしては、企画/PL/SWE/デザイン中心に組成され、社員だけで概ね10名程度の規模です。
またシステム統合レベルのテーマや開発案件になると、ここにクラウド開発チーム、車両ECU開発チームなど複数のチームを横断する規模のプロジェクトになり、規模感としては20名近くにまでなります。

必要となるスキル・経験

必須

・iOSアプリの3年以上の開発経験
・Android (Kotlin)の開発経験

主たる開発言語はSwiftを想定しておりますが、KMPを採用している関係上、Kotlinについても一定レベルの理解と経験を持たれている方を対象としております。

尚可

・セキュリティ, ネットワーク, データベース, データサイエンス, 機械学習分野の専門知識
・コネクテッドカーを含むIoTデバイスと連携するサービス・ソフトウェア開発経験
・アジャイルプロセスでのソフトウェア開発経験

語学力

・日本語ビジネスレベル以上（JLPT N1以上）
・ソフトウエアに関する英語の技術文書を読めるレベル

Job description

You will be primarily responsible for developing mobile applications for EV owners at Sony Honda Mobility. Your tasks will include developing various services and functions necessary for mobile apps focused on vehicle control and monitoring. As an iOS engineer, you will be responsible for Swift-based UI development and the binding part with the KMP layer, which is common to both OS. Additionally, you will also be responsible for defining API schemas, which is led by app engineers.

The development team operates as a single team with a mix of Android and iOS, and we aim to develop both OS simultaneously as much as possible. We base our development on agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, but we are flexible in changing our formation to achieve the desired deliverables depending on the phase of the development lifecycle.

Background of Recruitment

At Sony Honda Mobility, we have identified network service development and digital touchpoint development as key areas of focus. We position the AFEELA mobile application service not as an "accessory to the car," but as an "extension of AFEELA that stays connected with customers even when they are not in the vehicle." To achieve this vision, we believe it is essential to increase the number of in-house engineers who can proactively focus on customer value, in addition to having technical expertise. Currently, we are particularly in need of iOS engineers, making this position a top priority.

There are unique achievements that can be realized through network services that work closely with hardware. We are looking for engineers who can resonate with this vision.

Section: Approximately 20 people
The mobile app development team is composed mainly of planning, PL (Project Lead), SWE (Software Engineer), and design, with a scale of about 10 employees. For system integration-level themes and development projects, this expands to include the cloud development team, vehicle ECU development team, and other teams, making the project scale close to 20 people.

Requirements

Required skills 

• Over 3 years of experience in iOS app development
• Experience in Android (Kotlin) development

The primary development language is expected to be Swift, but due to the adoption of KMP (Kotlin Multiplatform), we are looking for candidates who also have a certain level of understanding and experience with Kotlin.

Preferred skills / experience

・ Expertise in security, network, databases, data science, and machine learning
・ Experience developing services and software that work with IoT devices including connected cars
・ Experience in software development using the agile methodology

Language Skills

• Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N1 or above)
• Ability to read software technical documentation in English
