Launched in December 2017, Fanicon is a subscription-based, premium fan community platform where fans can engage directly with their favorite artists and personalities (“icons”), who are directly involved in content design and creation. Fanicon has experienced continuous growth since its launch.  As of December 2024, Fanicon hosts over 3,800 communities and over 400,000 fans. 

At THECOO, we foster a culture where engineers can fully focus on building great products. As we scale Fanicon from 10 to 100, we’re seeking someone who can leverage their expertise to help us take the platform to the next level.

 The Role

As a Quality Engineer at THECOO, you won’t just find bugs—you’ll architect the systems that prevent them. You will drive the technical evolution of the Fanicon platform by building a streamlined, AI-augmented QA pipeline. We’re looking for engineers who think like product owners and build like developers, leveraging innovative automation frameworks and LLM-driven tooling to transform abstract product goals into a resilient, high-performance reality. From the first 'what if' to the final deployment, you will lead the charge in making 'high-quality' a continuous, automated standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Ownership
  • Architect and implement comprehensive test plans and cases for Android, iOS, and Web, ensuring they align with the product vision.
• Automation & Engineering Excellence
  • Drive technical quality by writing and maintaining automated test scripts. You don't just find bugs; you improve the system by building robust automated regression suites.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• QA Expertise: 3+ years of professional experience in QA for native mobile apps (Android/iOS) or complex Web platforms. Proven track record of transitioning projects from manual QA to automated QA.
• Coding Ability: Proficiency in at least one programming language with the ability to write and debug automated test scripts.
• Technical Fundamentals: A solid grasp of the mobile/web ecosystem. You can explain the "why" behind your testing strategies.
• Modern Workflow: Experience (or a strong interest) in using AI tools to improve productivity without compromising quality.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Security: Experience with server-side verification and digital rights management (DRM).
• Tooling: Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Playwright, Espresso, or Appium. we're using CircleCI, but GitHub Actions familiarity is acceptable
