MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
LUX Japan is in the middle of a major Transformation to Step Up the Brand Proposition and Portfolio Ditribution. This role will support Brand Director to lead this transformation, with first wave New Product Development and Communication landing End of 2024/H1 2025, along with a Robust 3-Year pipeline.

The brand has been in the market since 1989 and enjoys #1 position in the Category. However, both brands see challenges from local domestic players aggressively gaining share. A significant Portfolio Revamp is being designed, to ensure ongoing superiority and to become significantly more Premium, in a local relevant way.
JOB SCOPE DESCRIPTION:
Identify brand growth strategy with long term vision and mindset (with guidance of Brand Director, support of Market team)
Craft and bring to life through 3-Year Inno plan, aligned to the Brand Strategy and Destination Portfolio
Turning Strategy, Insight into Superior Mixes, meeting Superiority Target
Lead Innovation Projects to the agreed milestones/timelines and to the high-quality standards set (OTIF), Motivate team and gain support of cross functional teams
Craft and Sharpen Brand Proposition, deliver winning Brand Assets with excellence
Provide sharp and clear Brand Guidelines and Guidance to Market to enable consistent multiyear execution to build strong brand equity
Co-work with Brand Builders to deliver an aligned Brand Marketing Plan

Skills & Experience Needed: | • Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing with NPD experience • Strong eye for beauty and aesthetic sense • Previous experience in team management and stakeholder management • Influencing skills, communication with stakeholders at all levels (internal/external, up/down) Strong framework and Logical, Analytical Thinking & Rigour • Experience in Hair Care or Skin category • Strong consumer insight analysis skills, combined with a creative acumen to develop product mix that makes sense in the current Japan hair market • Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills to deliver as one team • Business acumen with an entrepreneurship mindset • Skilled in Innovation management and INNOFLEX Gate Keeping • Solid experience with multi-culture working context • Japanese language skill is a plus/not a must |
