This includes Retail POS, F&B POS/KDS, Ticketing/Admissions systems, Mobile Ordering, eCommerce/Online Commerce, Payment Platforms, Inventory/COGS flows, and revenue reconciliation integrations.

This role serves as the technical authority for all RevOps platforms, ensuring system scalability, integration quality, performance, payment security, auditability, and alignment with global and enterprise standards. The Tech Lead guides engineering teams, oversees vendor development quality, validates architecture, and ensures system readiness for USJ’s high-volume guest environment.

The role collaborates closely with Revenue Operations, Retail, F&B, Finance, Ticketing, Cybersecurity, Architecture, PMO, Infrastructure, Payments, and external vendors to deliver secure, seamless, and resilient experiences across all revenue touchpoints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Leadership and Engineering Excellence 40%
  1. Serve as the technical authority for all Revenue Operations platforms, including Retail POS, F&B POS/KDS, Ticketing/Admissions, Payment devices & gateways, Mobile Ordering, and Online Commerce systems.
  2. Lead technical design, integration strategy, and engineering oversight across revenue data flows—from point of transaction to financial posting.
  3. Validate system designs for scalability, throughput, performance, fault tolerance, and security required for theme-park-scale volume.
  4. Ensure correct implementation of tenders, payment routing, EMV logic, ticket entitlements, inventory/COGS rules, and pricing/promotion logic across systems.
  5. Coordinate engineering of embedded payment devices, POS terminals, kiosks, mobile apps, and revenue endpoints.
  6. Enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, logging structures, error-handling patterns, and performance benchmarks across all RevOps systems.
  • Solution Delivery and Architecture Alignment 30%
  1. Partner with the Delivery Manager to execute the RevOps technology roadmap, including POS modernization, mobile ordering expansion, payment upgrades, and omni-channel commerce initiatives.
  2. Oversee and validate integrations between POS>Payment Gateway>Acquirer>Finance; Online Commerce>Ticketing>Payments; and POS/KDS>Inventory/COGS>Finance.
  3. Ensure all integrations follow global architecture standards, security constraints, tokenization requirements, and performance expectations.
  4. Evaluate and approve technical feasibility for new revenue system capabilities such as new tender types, ticket media formats, promotions/discount engines, or commerce flows.
  5. Identify technical risks early and define mitigation plans for complex, cross-domain revenue systems.
  6. Ensure interoperability across legacy revenue platforms and emerging future-state systems.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration 20%
  1. Collaborate with Retail Ops, F&B Ops, Ticketing, Finance, RevOps, Security, and Online Commerce teams to ensure technology supports operational and business needs.
  2. Translate complex engineering concepts into clear business impacts and solution trade-offs.

    4. Ticket fraud prevention and entitlement enforcement
    5. Build strong working relationships across global platform teams, ensuring alignment with Universal-wide standards.
  • Standards, Compliance, and Operational Readiness 10%
  1. Ensure all RevOps applications are engineered for maintainability, observability, and smooth transition to Application Services and Operations Support teams.
  2. Champion adoption of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing for transaction flows, and performance/load testing standards.
  3. Promote continuous improvement across stability, latency, accuracy of revenue flows, inventory/COGS posting, and payment processing.
