Who is Wayfarer?

Wayfarer is a leading next generation hotel operations and travel startup in Japan. Founded in late 2019, we manage over 400 rooms across our brands Wayfarer, ORI and Kabin.

Our vision is to brighten life for the next generation of everyday travelers. About the Position

  • Deliver and meet higher expectations of guest needs 
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Answer questions and address complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist the operations team to refine and document processes, implement operational improvements, product collaborations, tech systems and automations
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management/ Business Administration
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Japanese (N2 or above)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Must be living in Japan with a valid visa/working status
  • Experience with front desk or in a hospitality setting (preferred)
  • Must have a valid work visa in Japan
