What does it take?

The Real Estate Analyst will support Wayfarer’s real estate expansion by analyzing acquisition opportunities, building models, and supporting the team in due diligence and transaction execution.

• You have experience in real estate finance, underwriting, or asset management
• You’re highly analytical and can build cash flow models from scratch
• You understand investment structures like TMKs and TKGKs
• You’re proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented
• You thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and enjoy solving problems independently

What will you do?

1. Develop and maintain acquisition models and investment memos
2. Evaluate potential deals using a combination of internal benchmarks and external market research
3. Conduct financial analysis and sensitivity scenarios on real estate assets
4. Support the VP of Real Estate with due diligence and documentation
5. Coordinate with external partners (lawyers, accountants, brokers) to support transaction execution
6. Help develop and maintain internal databases for pipeline tracking and performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in real estate investment, finance, or asset management
• Strong Excel skills and experience building cash flow models
• Familiarity with Japanese real estate investment structures (TKGK, TMK, GK-TK)
• Fluent in both Japanese and English
• Must be based in Japan with valid work authorization (Tokyo or Osaka preferred)
