JERA digital creation department is engaged with the business to develop business solutions using cutting edge technologies and set itself as marketmaker for energy flexibility and supporting energy transition.  he Head of the Digital Innovation Department plays a pivotal role in steering the organization's digital future. Leading the Data Intelligence and Data Transformation groups, this executive is responsible for managing a broad spectrum of innovation projects, from Artificial Intelligence and IoT to digital business solutions impacting various sectors such as power, health, and environmental safety. The role demands a visionary leader who can provide both technical and technological support, drive the development of the organization through strategic hiring, and manage the career progression of its talent pool.

As the Head of the Digital Innovation Department, the role has the unique opportunity to shape the future of JERA’s energy digital landscape, leading a team of passionate innovators, working on cutting-edge projects that have a real-world impact. This role for visionary leader with a passion for technology and innovation.

2.       Collaborate with cross-functional teams: security, architects, business,　30％
3.       Resource management: Manage team’s performance and deliverables, including vendors’ deliverables 20％

-    Leadership and Strategy :Collaborate with a team of developers and technologists to support IT program planning and execution.

-    Manage the digital organization, structure and resources by continiously adaping the work allocation to fit the projects schedule

-    Lead the Data Intelligence and Data Transformation groups with a focus on fostering innovation, collaboration, and a high-performance culture.

-    Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and market demands

-    Innovation Management : Manage and oversee the execution of innovation projects within the Data Intelligence arena (AI, data management, data platform, data lake, reporting, IoT) and the Data Transformation group (digital power plant, health, environment, and safety applications). Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality. -

-    Technical and Technological Support : Provide expert guidance and support to the team on technical issues, staying ahead of the curve on new technologies and digital trends. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development

-    Organizational Development : Lead the hiring of key personnel and manage the career development of existing resources, ensuring the right mix of skills and experiences to support the department's goals.

-    Visionary Leadership : Develop and articulate a clear vision of the technological roadmap, including products and services for the market. Ensure that this vision aligns with the overall strategy of the organization and positions it for future success.

-    Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the digital innovation strategy is integrated and supports business objectives. Act as a digital evangelist, promoting the benefits of digital transformation across the organization.

-    Manage the project financial KPI

コンピテンシー/Competencies

-    Strong technical background and expertise in project managent of IT development projects of business systems and platform

-    Strong background re. architecture from cloud, platform, data, application and cutting edge technologies (blockchain, GenAI, AI/ML, edge computing, etc…)

-    Be proactive to utilizing innovation and non-standard techniques to accelerate execution

-    Capability to introduce cutting-edge technologies  tools (GPT, CODEX, …) to accelerate and improve solutions

-    Capability to lead mult-background teams (nationalities, language, culture, technical background)

-    Understanding of technical terms related to IT like cloud-native development, AI, GPT, multi-stack, Front end, data integration, etc…

-    Proven leadership experience in a digital innovation role

-    Extensive knowledge of data intelligence technologies (AI, data management, IoT) and experience in developing digital business solutions.

-    Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to develop a comprehensive technological roadmap

-    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams

-    A forward-thinking mindset, with a track record of driving digital transformation initiatives

-    Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

-    A platform services development expertise is a plus

-    Has good networking portfolio with the digital eco-system of innovation from hyperscaler vendors, startups etc.. with similar aspirations and passion

-    Mindset of change and challenge

-    Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering IT projects on time and within budget.

-    Experience in coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

-    Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.

-    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

-    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. PMP, Agile, or Scrum Master certifications are highly desirable.
