本ポジションでは、統合ポートフォリオ戦略部で新しく立ち上げる発電量想定を行うモデル開発部門にて、電力需要および再生可能エネルギー予測モデル構築の担当者を募集しており、電力需要、太陽光発電（PV）および風力発電を予測するための統計モデルとツールの開発および維持を意欲的に行っていただける方を求めています。アナリストと協力して予測モデルを改善し、必要なツールを設置および維持するためにITチームと連携しながら進める職務も含まれます。

業務内容

・電力需要、PV出力、および風力発電を予測するための高度な統計モデルの開発および実装を行う
・過去のデータ、気象パターン、市場動向、およびその他関連情報の分析に基づいた予測精度向上を行う
・アナリストと協力して予測モデルを改善および強化する
・データの整合性とシステムの信頼性を確保しながらITチームと協力して予測ツールとデータベースを連携し運用する
・機械学習を利用して予測能力を強化する

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Power Demand and Renewable Energy Forecast Modeling Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain statistical models and tools to predict power demand, photovoltaic (PV) output, and wind energy production. This role involves collaboration with analysts to improve forecasting models and coordination with the IT team to set up and maintain the necessary tools. **

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and implementing advanced statistical models to forecast power demand, PV output, and wind energy production.
- Analyze historical data, weather patterns, market trends, and other relevant variables to improve forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with analysts to refine and enhance forecasting models based on data insights and trends.
- Work with the IT team to set up, maintain, and optimize forecasting tools and databases, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
- Monitor and refine forecasting models to ensure accuracy and responsiveness to changing market and weather conditions.
- Provide regular reports and insights on power demand and renewable energy trends to support business decision-making.
- Identify and address any discrepancies or anomalies in demand and energy forecasts.
- Utilize machine learning techniques to enhance predictive capabilities where appropriate.
- Participate in the development of forecasting processes and strategies to optimize energy production and distribution.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations and written reports. **

Qualifications

**Required:** - Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, R)
- Work experience with machine learning and their application
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely **

**Preferred:**
- Experience in power demand forecasting, renewable energy forecasting, statistical analysis or a related role (internship or project experience acceptable)
- Familiarity with power systems, renewable energy technologies, and weather modeling
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Japanese language skill.
