Senior Frontend Engineer (React.js+Typescript), Accounting Report System Development (Tokyo)
【Only applicants residing in Japan are eligible to apply.】 Overview As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building brand-new reporting features for our accounting cloud service, mainly using React.js and Typescript. “Money Forward Cloud ERP” is a cloud-based composable ERP (modular ERP) that has our own SaaS applications for corporate back-office operations from Accounting, Finances, and Human Resources fields as its module applications. And the “Money Forward Cloud Accounting Plus” is an accounting module from the composable ERP modules. Our team is developing new reporting features for the accounting module, which our users desire. The new reporting features allow users to check their company’s financial status easily and quickly. We have to handle large amounts of data to calculate figures for reporting, it is crucial to consider efficiency in processing to provide better UX. Responsibilities and Duties Develop reporting functionalities on our cloud accounting product for over mid-sized companies with React.js and Typescript Develop frontend for customizable reporting functionalities Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code Lead team members from a technical perspective Participate in discussions on product specifications or customer feedback with members from other functions Create system requirements that include functional and non-functional requirements Collaborate with team members, Engineering Manager, Product Manager, Designer, and any other stakeholders Ship software to the production environment Monitor the production environment and if any issues happen, fix and recover the system Share your knowledge with team members and other engineers Contribute to improvements in the development process, communication, team building, etc Required Skills and Experience Computer Science/Engineering Bachelor’s degree or related technical field 7+ years of software development experience Experience in leading product development with React.js and Typescript Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum team Experience in designing system architecture Team player Strong interpersonal skills Solution-oriented and result-driven Can commute to the office in Tokyo two days per week Preferred Skills and Experience These aren’t required but be sure to mention them in your application if you have them. Frontend Engineer, Money Forward Cloud, Fukuoka
【Only applicants residing in Japan are eligible to apply.】 Overview About the Fukuoka Development Base The Fukuoka development base of Money Forward was established in December 2017. Since then, many engineers, designers, and interns have joined, and the base has been steadily growing. In late November 2020, we moved to a new location to further expand the development base, and we are actively recruiting engineers and designers. At the Fukuoka development base, with the concept of "Move Forward," we aim to be a place that values growth opportunities for our members and encourages them to boldly take on various challenges. Money Forward provides services that solve financial issues through technology. At the Fukuoka base, we develop and operate "Money Forward Cloud Expense" and "Money Forward Cloud Accounts Payable," which are core services of Money Forward offered to sole proprietors and corporations. Additionally, we are developing "Money Forward Pay for Business" a platform that promotes cashless transactions in the business domain by providing business cards and other services. This new business was launched from the Fukuoka base in September 2021. Responsibilities and Duties Recruitment Background In product development, the frontend domain covers a wide range of areas close to the user, such as appearance, performance, and accessibility, and there are many challenges in the products currently under development. Additionally, technical debt and legacy development environments are also becoming issues. We are working daily to solve these challenges and enhance value for users. New product development is also gradually progressing, and the team is becoming capable of development in a modern environment. We are looking for engineers who can focus on enhancing user value in the frontend domain at the Fukuoka base. Job Responsibilities You will be responsible for the development of the business-oriented cloud services "Money Forward Cloud Expenses" and "Money Forward Cloud Accounts Payable." About this position We are looking for a skilled Next.js developer to join our front-end development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing user interface components using React.js and TypeScript concepts and workflows such as Redux, Flux, and Webpack. You will also be responsible for profiling and improving front-end performance and documenting our front-end code-base. To ensure success as a Next.js developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript and React concepts, excellent front-end coding skills, and a good understanding of progressive web applications. Writing application interface codes using JavaScript, TypeScript following Next.js workflow. Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes. Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts. Monitoring and improving front-end performance. Documenting application changes and developing updates. Required Skill-set Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. At least 3+ years of development experience with Next.js/React.js development. At least 2+ years of development experience with TypeScript development. In-depth knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages. Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux. Understanding of Git and development activities such as merge, conflict resolution of code, pull requests, deployment. Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest. Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software. Experience with docker-based development/environment configurations. Deep understanding of functioning and implementation of basic algorithms such as sorts, searching and the capability to explain performance characteristics. Track record of developing products in an agile development environment and working knowledge of scrum activities. Fluency in English (Business level) Good to have Skill-set Knowledge of Kubernetes.
