Wayfarer is a tech-driven hospitality startup brand rapidly expanding its team. Founded in 2019, we're on a mission to reinvent the hospitality business model by creating an innovative experience for travelers in Japan. Currently, we have 12 hotel locations in Kyoto and Osaka across three cornerstone brands: Wayfarer, ORI, and Kabin.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with property owners, financing banks, and asset managers. Promoting Wayfarer’s brand in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
• Source and evaluate deals for hotel management and acquisition joint ventures.
• Conduct due diligence, including market research and risk assessment. Develop and manage cash flow projections and financial models.
• Structure and negotiate deals to optimize financial returns.
• Oversee financing and syndication strategies for accommodations-related acquisitions.

Requirements

• Fluency in written and spoken Japanese as well as English
• Independence and an owner’s mindset
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role demonstrating experience in sourcing, structuring, underwriting, real estate finance and analysis
• Strong understanding of investment structures in Japan such as TKGK and TMK
• Must be currently living in Japan with a valid visa/working status
