業務内容

コネクティビティ・自動運転・電動化の技術進化に向けた、車両１台分の統合制御の設計・開発をお任せいたします。全体アーキテクチャ及びSDVとして要求される幅広いECU/機能群（例：全体CoreECU、通信関連、Entry/Body関連、AD/ADAS関連、IVI/HMI関連、全体統合システム関連(利用者認証、アカウント連携等)）のうち、適性に応じて担当領域を決定します。少人数チームで業務にあたっており、AFEELA車両全体を俯瞰した開発に取り組める点が特徴です。また、次世代機以降の開発にも関与いただける機会があります。

• 新規機能に対する車両レベルでの要求分析
• 既存のE&Eアーキに対するSDVとしての最適な機能配置検討
• 各機能やECUに対する機能要件の明確化、要求仕様作成、関係部署との整合
• V字フローの右側にあたる検証Phaseにおける実車検証

募集背景

ソニー・ホンダモビリティは 「Mobility as a Creative Entertainment Space」 をテーマに、従来のクルマが物理的な移動体験に特化してきたことに対し、移動という行為自体も「新しいエンタテインメント」[に変えていくことを目指しています。そしてこれらを、これまで数々のIoT製品に取り組んできたソニーが培った経験を活かし、高度なコンピューターサイエンス、すなわちHW～SWを俯瞰するシステム・ソフトウェアテクノロジーにより実現していくことを目指しています。
現状の自動車のシステムソフトウェアはHW部品中心の発想に基づく部分が多いですが、当社は徹底的にSoftware Definedであることにこだわります。多様なパートナーと共に新たな機能・体験をソフトウェアによる実現するのがAFEELAのシステムソフトウェアにおける基本的な考え方です。
そのために、Unreal Engineといった高度な表現能力を持つゲームエンジンの導入を始め、自動運転含めた今後の進化も見据えた場合に、今日現在、想像もつかないようなアルゴリズム・アプリケーション登場することが予想されます。そうした状況に対応していくために、当社は自動運転及びインフォテインメントには非常に高速なプロセッサ、潤沢なROM/RAMを搭載し、さらに各ECU間の通信や構成に関してもコンピューターの考え方に基づき独自のアーキテクチャを形成しています。

現在、E/Eシステムについては次世代機以降の開発も加速しており、AFEELAの目指す「人とモビリティとの新しい関係性」を実現するには、E/Eシステムの変革が非常に重要です。ソニーとHondaのリソースを活用しつつ、新しい発想でAFEELA独自のシステムアーキテクチャの実現に関わっていただける方を求めています。

AFEELAのE&Eシステムアーキテクチャは”車を制御する仕組み”作りではなく、”車の未来価値を生み続けるプラットフォーム”を作る挑戦です。

課：10名程度
国内外ベンダーと協力し、E&Eシステムならびに各ECUのプラットフォームの設計・開発を行っていただきます。通常の自動車会社に比べ少人数で活動しており、裁量を持って取り組んでいただけます。

Job description

You will be responsible for designing and developing integrated, vehicle‑wide control systems to support technological advancements in connectivity, autonomous driving, and electrification. Based on your expertise, you will be assigned to appropriate areas across a broad range of ECUs and functions required for an SDV, including overall core ECUs, communication systems, entry/body systems, AD/ADAS, IVI/HMI, and integrated vehicle systems (such as user authentication and account linking).
Our small, focused team structure allows you to engage in development with a full, end‑to‑end view of the entire AFEELA vehicle. You will also have opportunities to be involved in the development of future generations of the platform.

Example Responsibilities

• Analyze vehicle‑level requirements for new features
• Evaluate optimal SDV‑based functional allocation within the existing E&E architecture
• Define functional requirements for each ECU or feature, prepare specifications, and align with related teams
• Conduct real‑vehicle testing during the verification phase on the right side of the V‑model

Background of Recruitment

Sony Honda Mobility aims to redefine the automobile under the theme “Mobility as a Creative Entertainment Space.” While traditional cars have focused primarily on physical transportation, our goal is to transform the act of mobility itself into a new form of entertainment. Leveraging Sony’s extensive experience in developing a wide range of IoT products, we aim to realize this vision through advanced computer science—specifically, system and software technologies that span from hardware to software.

Today’s automotive system software is still largely based on a hardware‑centric mindset. In contrast, we are committed to a thoroughly software‑defined approach. A core principle of AFEELA’s system software is to create new functions and experiences through software, in co‑creation with a diverse range of partners.

To make this possible, we have introduced advanced game engines such as Unreal Engine, which offer high‑fidelity visual expression. As we look toward future advancements—including autonomous driving—we anticipate the emergence of algorithms and applications that cannot yet be imagined today. To support this evolution, our autonomous driving and infotainment systems feature high‑performance processors, abundant ROM/RAM, and a unique architecture for inter‑ECU communication and configuration based on computer‑system principles.

Development of next‑generation E/E systems is accelerating. Transforming the E/E architecture is essential to realizing AFEELA’s vision of creating “a new relationship between people and mobility.” We are seeking individuals who can leverage the combined strengths of Sony and Honda, and who can help us build an AFEELA‑original system architecture through innovative thinking.

Department

Team size: Approximately 10 members
You will work with domestic and international vendors to design and develop the E&E system and ECU platforms. Compared to traditional automotive companies, our team operates on a smaller scale, giving you greater ownership and autonomy in your work.

At AFEELA, Sony Honda Mobility—not the parent companies—holds full ownership of the product vision and independently plans and develops the system architecture to realize the value we aim to deliver.

Requirements

Required skills

• Experience in system development for BEV powertrain control, entry control, body control, etc.
• Experience in developing system architectures that span multiple domains or are related.
• Experience in in-vehicle communication network development, including CAN configuration, log acquisition, and diagnostics.
• Experience in embedded system development (hardware and software are both acceptable).
• Experience in selecting semiconductors/microcontrollers for automotive applications and making design decisions from a HW/SW integration perspective.

Preferred skills 

• Experience in overall vehicle system development.
• Experience in designing communication architectures for entire systems using Ethernet.
• Experience in device development using high-performance SoCs.
• Knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262) and cybersecurity (ISO21434).

Language 

• Ability to read and write documents in English.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Japanese: N2+ (approximate)
